Easy Care Instructions
Machine wash in hot water up to 140°. Do not use chlorine bleach. Machine dry on medium setting. Covers can also be washed in cold or warm water with De-Mite Laundry Additive or Allersearch Allergen Wash.
Special Note: The cover must be completely dry before placing on pillows.
Commonly asked questions about pillow covers
1. Do I need to wash the cover before first use?
No. It is not necessary. We do not treat any of our fabrics with chemicals or antimicrobial coatings. Please note that we do not accept the return of washed covers unless they are defective.
2. How often should I wash the pillow cover?
We recommend washing pillow covers every 4 to 6 weeks. Your pillowcases — which go on top of the cover — should be washed weekly along with your sheets.
3. Will the cover shrink when I wash it?
Like all 100% cotton products, the cover will shrink slightly when washed and dried for the first time. We have accounted for this and made the covers slightly larger — they will not be too small after the first wash.
4. Do I need to cover every pillow on the bed?
Yes — every pillow you actually sleep on should be covered. An uncovered pillow is an allergen source inches from your face for 7 to 8 hours every night. Decorative pillows that you remove from the bed at night do not need covers — just tumble them in the dryer on the air-fluff setting monthly to remove accumulated dust.
5. Does the cover work if my pillow already has dust mites in it?
Yes. The cover creates a complete barrier that prevents allergens already inside the pillow from reaching you — and prevents new mites and allergens from getting in. Over time, the mites inside the sealed pillow die off, starved of their food supply. You get relief from the very first night.
6. What size should I order?
Measure your pillow — standard, queen, and king sizes are available. If your pillow falls between sizes, choose the larger size for a looser, more comfortable fit. A cover that is too tight stresses the seams and zipper over time.

This Cotton Pillow Cover is pretty basic. I find it a bit noisy and the texture is somewhat rough (not soft and smooth). It is also prone to crinkle. The zipper location is not at the edge but located somewhere distant to the edge (odd placement - see picture). This cotton version is definitely better than their polyester pillow cover. It's good that it is dust mite proof and hypoallergenic. Overall, this pillow cover is just okay and provides decent pillow protection but there are better options in the market (like the ones made out of bamboo or tencel).

The tight weave of these pillow covers are keeping the allergens at bay. They're a bit crisp out of the package, but after several washes they are very comfortable.
The pillow covers are noisy. They are shiny on the inside. Are they treated with anything to make them dust mite proof? I am rating these pillow covers 4 stars because of the noise they make. I can live with the noise if it comes from the fact that the fabric is very very tightly woven. But I hope that they are made of simply 100% cotton thread and nothing else is added or sprayed on the fabric to make it dust mite proof. The product I received is made in China by Bargoose Home Textiles.

I really like these pillow covers. They remind me of a hotel stay. They have a crispness to them that is not overly plastic-y. They are pleasant. I’m using my normal pillow covers over these. I haven’t had to wash them yet so I just hope they hold up with the same feel after a few washes.

The pillow covers helped me sleep.
I didn't realize that this case is a layer of cotton fabric over plastic, probably vinyl. It smells like vinyl. Although the smell will fade, it indicates the presence of hormone disrupting chemicals such as pthalates. Simply a layer or two of tightly woven fabric will keep allergens from moving out of the pillow since allergens are relatively large particles. No need for plastic
This ARGOOSE Home Textiles, AllergyCare 100% Cotton, Dust Mite Allergen Proof cover is an excellent pillow encasement, that reduces the amount of dust that can reach your face from inside your pillow, as it effectively works as a filter. This is a good size for a fat queen pillow, with a well sewn zipper. The cotton fabric is slightly crinkly feeling and lightweight, with a very very fine texture- almost like paper, but actually comfortable and not noisy under a pillowcase. Despite the lightweight nature of the fabric, this feels strong and won't rip or anything like that. This case is great for travel use for hygiene as well as for general home use.
While this product was not quite soft and quiet as i hoped, it was still very good and high quality. I do not regret the purchace at all. I bought another one.
