Allersearch AllergenWash™ Anti-Allergen Laundry Detergent

I have been using this for a couple of years now and appreciate its ability to rid bedding and clothing of potential allergens, but also how economical it is.

This is the first time I've bought & used this product. So far so good! It smells great, but most importantly I hope it's getting rid of those pesky dust mites! It probably may not get rid of all of them in 1 wash, but I will continue to use this product weekly until it does! So I will update you later down the road.

I love the allergen wash, I like the tea tree scent and washing my sheets with it helps my indoor allergies. I don't love the new cap with no handle, but luckily I have saved several of the old caps ( I use them to scoop my flour and sugar, too)

While sitting in the linen closet, my bedding had an unpleasant odor after washing in store-bought detergent. This does not happen after using Allergen. It gives me confidence that my items are completely clean and allergy free.

The Allersearch Allergen Wash Laundry detergent itself works really well.
I wash all my linens, and also anything that’s sat long enough to accumulate dust. Sometimes I travel with this detergent, especially if staying at short-term homestay lodging (usually they have a washing machine). Unlike hotels, which wash linens in hot water and bleach, the owners of this type of lodging typically wash bedding with cold water and fragrance packed detergent.

Just be advised there is a new scoop that looks nothing like the one showing on this webpage’s product photos and video. The handle’s gone, and it’s tough to pour from the wide mouth cap without the detergent running down the side of the cap and onto your fingers (which is not ideal for a concentrated detergent formula). It’s more difficult to distinguish between measuring ½ and ¾ of a scoop. I’ll stick with this product, but am glad I kept my old scoop.

Attention Allersearch: you lost a customer and devalued your product and brand by adding dissatisfiers to what was a perfectly good product. Difficult to access and dispense the Allergen Wash. I would have gladly paid the extra dollar to get the old packaging. See details below.

The foil seal for the Allergen Wash is near impossible to remove - there's no pull tab. You have to get a knife to pierce through and kind of work your way around and pulling the middle portion off attempting to also pull the parts on the rim, and then good luck removing the parts of foil and plastic that managed to stay glued to some parts of the rim. I might have swallowed this part.

This next part is the largest dissatisfier: the new scoop. It’s a large wide mouth shallow cap that is difficult to pour from, and the detergent runs down the side and onto your fingers as you pour into the machine. It's also more difficult to tell the difference between 1/2 and 3/4 full because of how wide and shallow the cap is.

Change in quality in one area calls into question the general brand quality. I'll be abandoning this brand; they're not the only ones that make these sorts of product.

I purchased this product in search of a solution to my allergic reaction to clothes detergents. I came to realize that developing allergic reactions comes at any age. I would scratch too much (even at work) due to severe itchiness & hives all over my body, leaving some ugly marks on my skin. I also noticed that even my medium-sized fury son Brody is scratching too much like we are synchronized. No matter how often I changed my bedding, washed the throw pillows, vacuumed & mopped the scratching, itchiness & hives did not go away not until I discovered these products. I use the Allergen Wash for my clothes & personal stuff including my dog's blanket. Then use the Anti-Allergen Dust Spray for my couch, carpet, pillows & bedding..... & it worked!! Thank you so much!

I used the Wash on my bed sheets - 100% cotton grown in AL, woven in SC, sewn in AL- and got a mild rash and itching. I have a skin allergy to certain fabrics - e.g. cashmere - so I take antihistamines daily prescribed by my allergist. I was hoping the Wash would prevent any allergy reactions. What do you think?

It's great for my pillowcases and pillow b/c of dustmites. The only drawback is I don't use fabric softener or dryer sheets b/c of their scent and it leaves the material rough.

This product changed my life! I have multiple allergies and skin reactions that have been greatly reduced by using this product only in my laundry.

Great product. Made a noticeable improvement in my allergy symptoms - after one night of doing this wash on my bedding and using the spray on the bedroom carpet...and encasing mattress and pillows (mine and hubby's) ...did all that in one day but slept amazing that night. Now I use this every time I wash my bedding - usually only once a week now (remember to do the bedspread/comforter too, some people don't wash those weekly for some reason - but should) and this 24 oz bottle lasts a couple of years. I wash two loads - one with sheets and misc bedding and one with queen comforter - and it lasts just about 2 years. Be sure not to use very much at all....I have a new washer and it'll go in to suds lock (rinse for an hour basically) if I use the full red scoop, so I use about 3/4 of the red scoop and all is well. The spray works well too but be sure to get the 'non staining' version.

Still waiting to see if this detergent makes a difference, but disappointed because the measurement scoop arrived cracked. :(
Have switched to using disposable liquid medicine dosing cups.

I used Allergen Wash yesterday for the first time and it was amazing. My clothes and towels never looked so clean. It is a great feeling to know that the "Critters" can't get to me now! I will definitely buy again. Also looking forward to using your Hair Styling Gel. Great price on Vanicream Cleansing Bar. I usually have to buy the at Walgreens and they charge close to $4.00 per bar. Thank you for your wonderful products.

I have extremely sensitive skin along with asthma and eczema. This detergent is a lifesaver! I've tried others and either they did not rinse clean or I was allergic to an ingredient. Not with this one. My laundry is clean and my skin is calm. I'm honestly so relieved.

Our vet dermatologist recommended this because our pup is allergic to everything! I received the product this week and have begun washing all dog beds, covers, everything soft that he comes in contact with.
It only takes a small amount and it smells good when the laundry is done.

So far this is working wonderfully!

I love this detergent! It totally eliminates the need to destroy my clothes in hot water.If I do a load at night it isn't sour and stinky the next morning. It is so surprising that such a tiny scoop is all I need. I use it for my dust mite and mold allergies.
