How to Care for Your myMerino® Organic Wool Comforter

Set your wool comforter out in the sun and let it air out once a month. The sun naturally revitalizes and disinfects wool bedding. Spot clean with a soft brush and mild detergent and water. Allow the product to air dry completely.

We recommend using the Organic Cotton comforter cover as a way to keep your wool comforter clean. It is easy to take off and wash. 

Do Not Machine Wash. Additional information for taking care of wool bedding. As an alternative, your wool-filled comforter may be placed in the dryer with a few clean, new tennis balls. Place the dryer on the air cycle for 10 minutes. DO NOT use heat.

Dry clean only

I loved this when it first arrived, but when I washed it, the ends of the blanket hardened from the dryer! I’m very upset since I thought I was able to wash it!! Learn from my mistakes and take it to the dry cleaner only! Or hang to dry only!

I bought the crib wool-filled comforter to use as a coverlet on my recliner chair while watching TV or reading. It is WONDERFUL! It feels like being given a very soft and comfortable and warm hug. It is not too hot, nor is it heavy at all. I plan to make a duvet for it that will keep the cover from becoming soiled. I absolutely love love it. Thank you. Wisconsin

Although the comforter itself is very nice, I have not used it yet because, to my great disappointment, my dust mite proof duvet cover is too small and The Allergy Store does not offer one that would fit. If you are going to sell this item on your site it would be nice if you offered a dust mite barrier cover for it.

5 stars is not enough

When I recently discovered that I am allergic to 23 allergens (most notably dust mites) I had to completely modify my environment. This included buying a new latex bed, organic wool and cotton bedding, an air purifier, and various other necessities. I purchased wool comforter upon the recommendation of Mike (who is very knowledgeable about all of the Allergy Store items) and I could not be more pleased! It has the most incredible smell and the quality is unbelievable!! I purchased the organic cover to protect it and it fits perfectly!

Hi Mike, We love our new wool comforters. They are just the right warmth. Less tossing and turning than with the down one. The anti dust mite covers are also very nice and very well made. They are soft, you can sleep in them. The personal help on the phone when ordering was greatly appreciated. Mike, I don't do Facebook, but I have been telling my friends about your store.
