General Care Instructions:

When opening your SmartSilkTM natural quality bedding we recommend that you air it or fluff it up in your dryer at a low temperature for between 5 and 15 minutes depending on the item. We recommend using linens made of either 100% cotton or a 50% cotton 50% polyester blend for best results.

Washing Instructions:

SmartSilkTM is to be washed in cool water on a delicate cycle using detergents clearly identified for delicate fabrics. Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry. Please keep out of direct sunlight. 

Do not dry clean. Although dry-cleaning fluids evaporate readily at low temperatures it is impossible to ensure that traces of cleaning chemicals do not remain on the cleaned item, even after thorough airing and drying.

Nice, but not for me

I wanted to invest in allergen barriers for my bed pillows that would last. These are substantial, and both materials and construction seem to be of high quality, so I have no doubt they will last well and function properly. I was very unhappy with them though, as the three layers of material made them less flexible than I desired, and a the result was more rigid and noisy than I wanted as a light sleeper. The good-looking yet stiff piping around the entire seam also interfered with me getting comfortable as a side sleeper. Great customer service at allergystore.com took care of it for me so I can continue my search for just the right product.

Best pillow protectors out there!

I recently invested in some Saatva pillows and knew that if I was going to treat myself to the best pillows, I wasn't about to put any ordinary pillow protectors on them. As someone with asthma, I did a lot of research and discovered The Allergy Store and their SmartSilk Pillow Protector Set. Not only do they protect my pillows, they feel so soft. The silk is on the inner side but the outer cotton is outstanding, as well. Since purchasing these covers, I have not had a single asthma attack at night.
